What areas do you serve?

We currently serve clients in the GTA, Hamilton Halton and Niagara regions. We can travel to you or can offer our services by telephone or teleconference. Please contact us to discuss how we can best meet your healthcare navigation needs. Call us to learn more!

What are the costs for your services?

Each case is different. The fees for services are dependent on what the services are necessary. Contact our office for a free phone consultation to see what products and services we can provide for you and your situation.

Will my information be kept private?

Absolutely! We follow all PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) rules and regulations. You can feel safe that your information will be kept in the strictest of confidence. In addition, as healthcare professionals and as members of the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates (APHA) we abide by their code of ethics.

Do you attend appointments with me?

Absolutely!

We attend appointments or procedures with you. We will be by your side as little or as much as you would like. We are an extra set of eyes, ears and a strong voice for you.

Unfortunately due to insurance limitations, we are unable to transport you to and from appointments, but can certainly arrange transportation for you.

Do you make decisions for me?

No, we do not make any decisions for you. Our purpose is to support you in your healthcare journey. We help to ensure that all information necessary is made available for you to make decisions that are right for you.
If you are unable to make decisions for your healthcare, that duty would fall on your substitute decision maker.

Are Pro Health Navigators Canada employed by the hospital?

No, we are private, healthcare navigators who work solely for the patient on issues concerning their health care. Although there is no official connection to area hospitals or medical facilities, we work alongside with the medical system to maximize communications and ensure appropriate care.

Are advocacy services covered by insurance?

Not at this time. Hopefully, in the future, insurance companies will realize the benefits of health advocacy services.
